Feng Shui Fu Dogs and Beasts

Fu Dogs (or Keiloon) are legendary creatures with horns on the head of a lion, scales upon the body of a deer, and a tail consisting of little curls.

Fu Dogs are said to be the sentinels that neutralize any harmful element entering the home, and have a health giving effect upon the house. If the Feng Shui positioning of a house is unfavorable, the Keiloon will dilute any adverse energies circulating around the house, bringing luck and good chi.

The male Keiloon represents yang energy. His raised paw sits upon a globe or earth, representing worldly possessions and success. The female Keiloon represents yin energy. Her raised paw sits upon a baby Fu Dog, representing her protection of home and family.

Sold in pairs, they are said to bring luck and protection to any home or office. The Fu Dogs should be placed with their raised paws inward, towards each other.

Dragon Beasts are used in much the same way, and are quite similar to Gargoyles used throughout Europe as protectors of the home (or castle!) These fierce and loyal creatures can be used alone or in pairs.

This Set of 2 Fu Dogs are crafted in the Fujian Province of China from stone powder and resin, called Faux Rosewood. Highly decorative in a regal red color and high gloss lacquer finish, they stand about 4" high. Traditionally found outside of Temples and children's rooms, Fu Dogs stand guard and scare away negativity. Commonly placed facing the front door, you can use them anywhere in your home to bring luck, protection, and health -- and stand guard against unfavorable energies.

One Fu dog represents the male, his left foot is raised and rests upon the world - protecting worldly possessions and success. The other represents the female, her right foot is raised and rests upon the belly of a baby Fu - protecting the home and family.
